Financial Analyst

Sarah joined Lighthouse Financial Advisors in July 2023.  She graduated from Campbell University in Buies Creek, North Carolina, in December 2007 with a Bachelor’s in Business Administration.  In 2008, while at her first job with Jackson Hewitt Tax Preparers, Sarah discovered a deepening interest in customer service, personal finance, and taxes.  Later that year, Sarah began a career in banking providing deposit, credit and lending support to individual and business clients working at multiple banks with clients from all walks of life.  It was in this role that Sarah found her passion for client-focused, not sales-driven, problem solving, particularly as it relates to financial planning.  This discovery prompted Sarah to shift gears, moving from banking to the public sector where she served as a social worker.  In her new role with Monmouth County, Sarah worked with clients to find solutions to problems with affordable housing, budgeting, job skills and placement, and childcare resources, to name a few.  As her knowledge deepened, Sarah developed tremendous respect for the complexities of governmental programs.  While Sarah has chosen to move back into the private sector, she continues to focus her career on financial planning with an emphasis on tax and retirement planning.  As an Analyst with Lighthouse, Sarah guides clients through every stage of life, putting her problem-solving skills to work by providing clarity to the complexities of personal finance.    A North Carolina native born into a military family, Sarah has lived in seven states and on three continents. She enjoys traveling and new experiences with her family and friends.  In 2021, Sarah moved to Freehold, NJ with her two children, Jack and Abby, and their best (furry) friend, Dexter.
